After studying art all through my school years and also at the University of Utah I was introduced to Tole Painting in 1977. I took a few lessons and then started painting on my own. In January of 1978 I was asked to teach a class and have been teaching ever since! I have had the opportunity to teach in many art stores and teach for Decorative Painting Chapters throughout the Western United States.

I currently paint exclusively with Jansen Art Traditions paint. I am one of seven Heritage Artists who developed and co-authored the Traditions Educational Program. I am also one of the founders of The Academy of Heritage Designers (www.academyofheritagedisigners.com). I teach the Traditions Artist Classes and also the Traditions Teacher Seminars for the Jansen Art Division of DecoArt, Inc. throughout the United States.
